Privacy Policy

Ever and Light ("we", "us") provides a co-parenting and child-development app. You can reach us about privacy at support@everandlight.app.

Account information: the email address you use to sign in, and the two-factor setup tied to your account.

Information you enter: the custody schedule and any swaps, messages you send the other parent, calendar-sync preferences, the everyday details you add to the Info Bank (such as emergency contacts, sizes, and school information), and the answers a child gives in the optional Sky activity.

Limited technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as sign-in events recorded in your access log. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

There is no child account and no child login. Only the parents in a space sign in, and only parents enter information about the child. Because we do not collect personal information online from a child, the core trigger of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) does not apply here. We still treat anything about a child as sensitive and keep it inside your family's access-controlled space.

The most sensitive categories (medical details, identifiers like a Social Security number, and document storage) are intentionally not collected yet. They stay locked in the app until an independent security review is complete.

Your family's information lives in its own separate, access-controlled space, walled off so only your household can reach it. Connections to Ever and Light are encrypted. We use two-factor sign in, and your access log is append-only, so a record of changes cannot be quietly edited or removed by either parent.

Being plain about the limits: Ever and Light is not end-to-end encrypted, and we do not hold a formal security certification yet. Some of our team and our service systems can reach stored information in order to run the service; that access is meant to be limited. We would rather tell you that than dress it up.

Within a family space, both parents can see the shared information by design. The point of the product is a single, trustworthy picture both homes share.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share information with the limited service providers below that help us run the app, and only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law.

We rely on a small set of service providers (subprocessors) to operate: a hosting and database provider that stores your data, an application hosting provider, an email provider for sign-in messages, and, only if you turn it on, a calendar-sync connection to your own calendar app. Each can access only what it needs to perform its function.

You control which devices stay signed in, and you can sign out everywhere at any time. You can delete your account from inside the app, in your security settings, or ask us to provide a copy of your family's data.

To make a request, contact support@everandlight.app. Because some records are shared between two parents, deleting your account removes your sign in and profile but leaves the shared records with your co-parent, with your name removed where we can, and we may keep limited records (such as the append-only access log) where the law requires.

We keep your information for as long as your space is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, security, and record-keeping needs. The append-only access log is retained as a record of what happened.

We may update this policy as the product grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
